Alibai Anel Berikovna, a teacher of Art at Nazarbayev Intellectual school of Physics and Mathematics in Astana, was awarded as the winner at XX Creative International festival for Youth “Shabyt”, which took place in Astana (3-7 November, 2017). More than 500 young talented people from a wide range of regions in Kazakhstan and other countries: Uzbekistan, Latvia, Armenia and Russia participated in this popular event among creative youths. The ingenuity of the participants was evaluated by prominent figures who are famous for their contribution in the art world. There were  a range of nominations such as “Classical Music”, “The Art”, “Folk Music “, “Circus Art”, ” Acting ” and ” Best literary works” where every contestant could present his/her talent.

Anel presented her triptych “Kui Kudireti” – a 70*170 sm piece made of felt and nunofelt (a combination of silk and felt) impressed both the awarding  panel  and the guests of the exhibition. The milling process of camel and sheep hair is very long and complex and requires not only skill but also patience.  “Kui Kudireti”, «depicted» with wool within two months, is the imbuing picture attracts attention with its deep and special philosophic meaning. National features and the combination of contrasts present special cathexis that caused “Kui Kudireti” to be acknowledged as the best Art work among the 200 pieces presented at the festival, and it was awarded the President of Kazakhstan prize.

This is not the first time Anel’s talent has been acknowledged, as she has taken part in a variety of national and international exhibitions. In 2010 the young artist earned the special prize of III International festival «San men Sakhna». The Eurasian Unity of Designers awarded  Anel the certificate for achievement in the area of design in 2015. Also, she participated in the exhibition of Art “Uly Dala Murasy” in the national gallery “Nur-Sultan” in 2016. The talented artist graduated from Almaty College of Arts and Crafts after Oral Tansykbayev and Kazakh National Academy of Art.
