On October 1, NIS PhM in Nur Sultan celebrated The International Day of Older Persons. The meeting of the reading club “Book. Tea. Talk” was held in the school library with grandparents participation. At the same time, there was “Grandma’s Workshop” where girls learned to sew korpeshe of colored pieces of cloth. During the master class, a trusting dialogue took place between the two generations.
The whole school staff was pleased to meet wise and experienced people who worked for the benefit of their Fatherland within the walls of the Intellectual school. “Our main task is to foster a kind and respectful attitude to the elderly,” said Vice-principal Elmira Imanbekova.
On the day of kindness and respect, talented children of the Intellectual school have been going to the Malotimofeevka village for several years. They visit nursing homes for the elderly and disabled people with a concert program and gifts. The students are well known here, appreciated for their empathy as well as for their artistry and musicality.
