On September 1, a solemn assembly dedicated to the start of the new 2023-2024 academic year was held at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Astana.

By tradition, the first to be presented were 144 seventh graders, the newcomers and holders of the educational grant “Orken.”

The Principal of the school, Assel Beisembinova, delivered a welcoming speech. She congratulated the school staff on the new academic year and mentioned the upcoming event – the 15th anniversary of the school. Assel Saidugalievna also emphasized on 149 graduates of the school who completed their studies with honors and successfully entered local and international leading universities.

The head of the school presented certificates and diplomas to the winners of the summer international Olympiads and competitions during the ceremonial event.

All the present people wholeheartedly enjoyed the performance of the dombra ensemble, the kui “Balbyraun,” led by Professor Aitzhan Toktagan.

A bright end to the event was a fun dance surprise prepared by the teachers of the school.

The honor to ring the first bell in the new academic year was given to the excellent 12th grade student Ansar Zeynulla, along with grade 7E student Nuriya Ospanova.

After the solemn ceremony, the first lessons were held in classrooms within the framework of “Shanyrak Hours” dedicated to the theme “Fair Kazakhstan: quality education, honest generation, the successful nation.”
