International cooperation: partner schools

Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Astana has established partnerships and signed Memorandums of Cooperation with a number of foreign schools:

✔ National Center for Gifted Youth “PERMATApintar” (Malaysia)

✔ International School of the Hannover Region (Germany)

✔ Birchwood High School (UK)

The main areas of partnership are:

✔ student exchange;

✔ transfer of experience in the organization of the educational program;

✔ raising a citizen of the world.

The exchange program is focused on developing the following qualities and skills in students:

– the study of culture, history, features of life and the educational and educational system of countries, as well as the expansion of understanding of the general picture of the world;

– research skills, work on mini-projects, practical experiments in the laboratories of schools and universities;

– teaching on the principle of “Host student shadowing – the shadow of your host peer”, as well as teaching subjects of the student’s choice;

The implementation of this goal is carried out through:

– education in a general education school;

– accommodation in the families of school students.

This practice, unlike other types of accommodation, is part of the child’s education, as it takes place in an informal environment and in reality introduces the child to the culture, traditions and other aspects of the daily life of the host family.

-100% immersion in a foreign language environment, since teaching in schools is conducted in English.

The Intellectual School sees the expected result of the exchange of students in the expansion of the multicultural consciousness of NIS students, in enriching their vocabulary and grammar, in improving communication skills, as well as in deepening the understanding of global problems and the prospects for their solution.
