Nargiz Akhmetova, a student of the 12th grade of the Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Astana, received an invitation to study from Canadian Simon Fraser University.
Hard work on herself and high academic achievements gave the 2023 graduate the opportunity to receive the highest scholarship of Simon Fraser University, which is one of the top 10 best universities in Canada.
Nargiz completed an internship at Inspirit AI Inc. (San Francisco, USA) under the Leadership Fellow program, created to teach high school students the concepts of artificial intelligence. She is a finalist of the largest tournament from Microsoft – Imagine Cup Junior, the winner of numerous republican and international competitions of design works in informatics.
In October 2022, the well-known academic journal SFJ Fellowship Journal, dedicated to the original research of students and high school students from different countries in the field of STEM, published an article by Nargiz “Artificial Intelligence in Finance: Benefits and pitfalls of AI -trading).
“My main career goal is to innovate in the field of artificial intelligence, which is why Simon Fraser University, which is the best in Canada for research in the field of artificial intelligence, was the perfect fit for me.
